Back To School 2008

Since 2006, Community of Hope and Development organizes a fight for education in Burkina-Faso.

Burkina Faso, an inland country situated in West Africa is one of the poorest country in the world (rated 172/175 countries in the world according the United Nation Program for the Development) One of the so many problems in this undeveloped country is education of children. Indeed, 60% of children have no chance of going to school, meaning no chance of any kind of future. Further more the disaster of HIV/AIDS and many other diseases have left many of them painfully parentless and homeless.

One of the goals of Community of Hope and Development is to help some of these children restore their dignity.

Education is power and the way for development that is why Community of Hope and Development proposes to help those children have a minimum of education.

We create a program named “Education, Power of Tomorrow”. That will take in charge all expenses for the education of 10 children in need in the region of Sahel in the village of Essakane.

In the huge fight for poor children in this country, Community of Hope and Development will join others and work to make a difference in the life of these children. Our goal last year was to reach $1500 for these targeted 10 children for the year 2007.

The project has been renew this year for ten (10) more children.

Today, you can make a difference in the life of a child. Education for one of each of the ten (10) children that we chose this year in this village cost $150. Each amount $[ ] you send provides education fees, school stationeries, school clothes and equipment.

I hope we can count on you to help. Please send the most generous gift you can, as soon as possible.
